COMPLETED
FM 314 N (Henderson County) Line Project
Edom WSC will be installing a new 4” main water line on the East side of FM 314 in Henderson County. This additional water main is one of many for our distribution system that will allow Edom WSC to better serve our membership now and in the future. Along with the new water main, we will also be installing new service meters with Automated Meter Reading capabilities and several new flush valves. Automated Meter Reading (AMR) is the technology of automatically collecting consumption, diagnostic and status data from water meters and transferring the data to a central database for billing, troubleshooting (leak detection) and analysis. Customers and Edom WSC will benefit from AMR by having accurate usage readings monthly, the ability to detect water leak issues for customers, and improving customer service by offering solutions to water usage questions.
CUSTOMER INFORMATION:
The new water main will be installed on the East side of FM 314 in the state right of way within 5ft of member’s property lines. The construction crew will be working on private easement while reconnecting or relocating meter service sets or while directional drilling for needed road crossings. All driveways will be directional bored, no driveway trenching will occur. The construction crew will also work on the west side of FM 314 to disconnect existing service lines to customers that will be added on the new 4” main. Only customers on the East side of FM 314 will be serviced by the new 4” water line.
It is important to note that during the project, members in the project area, may experience some interruptions in water service. These outages will mainly occur when service connections are being relocated and reconnected to the new water main. Edom WSC will work to keep any service interruption to a minimum and will work quickly to restore service if any unplanned outages happen to occur.

Edom WSC understands that, once the project begins, work from the construction could become unappealing. We want to ensure you that all digging and trenching within the state right of way will be put back to its original state and if settling occurs, Edom WSC will address it as needed.
Edom WSC estimates, when started, the project could be completed within 6 to 8 weeks. Some delays may occur due to weather and material availability. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with us while we undertake this vital project. If you have any question or concerns, please feel free to contact the office at (903) 852-5055.
